This blog is edited by Korean-licensed lawyer. So I think it’s appropriate to explain what qualifications are required to be a Korean licensed lawyer briefly. In this regard, Korean Bar Association explains this issue as follows:
“Any person who passes the Bar Examination and completes the required courses at the Judicial Research and Training Institute is eligible to become a lawyer. A person who has the qualification for a judge or public prosecutor and military judicial officer is also qualified as a lawyer. But in case of the military judicial officer, they are qualified as a lawyer when their career as military judicial officer exceeds 10 years. A lawyer is able to become a judge or public prosecutor, and vice versa”
